Upgrade to WordPress 2.5 and new theme
March 31st, 2008 | by David |Today I installed the latest WordPress release (2.5) and it works great. WP would fit neatly into my “Why some web applications are more usable than others” series as a positive example of how to do stuff.
After the installation I decided to change the theme to something more suitable. The default theme is nice, but a little too narrow for my taste. I particularly liked the Big blue and Silver Light (hope they don’t run into troubles with Microsoft for this) themes, and decided to go the blue way. Both themes were using a default font size for the post texts that was a little small, so I increased it from 11px to 12px. I don’t understand why so many people use such small font sizes on their web pages.
